Krink - Generic EP Out Now!
After his first EP in 2009, lots of remixes and DJ gigs around Germany and Europe, Philipp Krink is now back with his new EP „Generic“ on Audiolith Records. Featuring 4, ready-for-the-floor tracks containing all u can ask for: Bassdrums, Sax, funky Vocal Samples and of course some Cowbell. Starting with the grooving title track „Generic“, evolving over the bass heavy „Say“, the laidback „Hit It“  and finishing with the deep  „No Skool“, Krink takes his various influences and puts them into his new EP. Ira Atari is back! After her smashing EP “Just Fu**in Dance It” she now releases her debut album “Shift” - written and produced by Ira Atari and Frittenbude’s mastermind Ja!kob.„Don’t Wanna Miss You“ is a mixture of pop and soul that once again shows Ira Atari’s skills at mastering the balancing act between club and songwriting, soul and dance. Indeed, she evokes memories of the grand classic disco divas such as Donna Summer und Gloria Gaynor, transposed to contemporary sound and party standards of course. But still, Ira Atari primarily remains a songwriter who personally relates to every one of her songs. “Don’t Wanna Miss You” is about a feeling we all know – the in-betweenness after a breakup, the bittersweet taste of freedom with loss being it’s downside. Sounds gloomy and not at all like Audiolith? Dear folks, be aware that Ira Atari has of course overcome this feeling, but more on that later. For now just sing and dance your sorrows away with “Don’t Wanna Miss You”. That’s always better than demonstrative moping (which probably wouldn’t be Audiolith style anyway.

All of tem were written and produced with former muff potter producer and longtime friend Nikolai Potthoff.From waking up jetlagged in Berlin ("5 Uhr 44"), over phantasies of violence and mayhem in a smalltown hairdresser´s shop ("Einen Abend Wahnsinn") and the memories of a romance in Israels mediterranean Metropolis ("Tel Aviv") to the longest track ("Quality Time"), in which the narrator´s long held back disgust and Weltschmerz erupts in a paranoid and hatedriven monologue.A very personal Interpretation of New Order´s classic "Bizarre Love Triangle" completes the record. It´s the favourite song of narrator Meise, which he can´t listen to on his trip to the Mosel, as he forgot his iPod at home in Berlin.
