Forum on Citizen Survey available on TGOV, On-Demand
Mayor Bartlett hosted a special televised forum at the TCC
Center 4 Creativity about the results of a citizen survey that was
conducted in Tulsa earlier this year. The survey was conducted by
Shapard Research and was distributed to 1,800 Tulsa households. The
forum will be available to view on TGOV and On-Demand starting
Wednesday, March 23 at noon.

City-County Collaborate on Shared Medical Resources
The City of Tulsa and Tulsa County have extended their
collaborative efforts to include shared medical resources. The City
of Tulsa has offered its two onsite Minor Illness Clinics for
complimentary care and treatment during the work day for county
employees and their family members who carry Community Care health
insurance benefits.

City expands CNG program
A new high-speed compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station is
operating at the City's west maintenance yard. Mayor Dewey Bartlett
announced the opening of the station today and said the City's
expanding CNG program is welcomed as gasoline and diesel prices are
rising and the use of CNG can save the City money on fuel costs.
City department managers were told recently that fuel costs might
rise by $1.1 million or more in the coming fiscal year.

Sales Tax, Use Tax Both Show Increase
The City of Tulsa's sales tax revenue for mid-January to
mid-February, as reported by the Oklahoma Tax Commission, is 2.8
percent above the same period last year. Use tax is up 24 percent.
Mayor Dewey Bartlett said, "To still have an increase in sales tax
after the blizzard at the beginning of February is very good news.
It shows we are recovering from the recession at a gradual but
steady pace."

I-244 Bridge to Become Multi-Modal Double-Decker
The Oklahoma Transportation Commission awarded a $78 million
contract to Manhattan Construction of Tulsa to build a multi-modal,
double-decker bridge spanning the Arkansas River on I-244, just
west of the inner-dispersal loop. The bridge will replace the
existing structurally deficient Arkansas River bridge.

Arts and Humanities Council and Tulsa Parks Bring Art to Bryant
Earlier this week, Victoria Bartlett who spearheads the Mayor's
Mentoring to the Max initiative announced that the Arts amp;
Humanities Council and Tulsa Parks WaterWorks will bring the arts
back to Bryant Elementary.

Finance Kicks Off Budget Discussions with City Council
The City of Tulsa Finance Department kicked off budget
discussions today with the Tulsa City Council. Finance Director
Mike Kier presented the City Council with the first look at budget
options for the next fiscal year, as well as a list of possible
uses for one-time revenues expected to be realized by June 30.

Citizen Survey Results Show High Satisfaction in Many Areas of the City of Tulsa - Survey Now Online
Results from an extensive citizen survey conducted by
Shapard Research shows many high satisfaction rankings for the City
of Tulsa. One of Shapard's findings show Tulsans were satisfied
overall with the City of Tulsa and find Tulsa a great place to
live. Surveys were distributed to 1,800 households including
200 randomly selected households in each of the nine City Council
districts in order to ensure equal representation in each
district.

Applications Available for Qualifying Tulsa Residents to Receive Fix Our Streets Sales Tax Rebates for 2010
From Jan. 1, 2011 to April 15, 2011, Tulsa residents who qualify
for temporary Fix Our Streets sales tax rebates may submit
applications to the City of Tulsa. This $25 rebate was specified by
ordinance to apply for the 2008 Fix Our Streets package, and will
be available to qualified Tulsa residents for the next four
years.
