The
Canadian Centre for Child Protection is dedicated to the
safety of all children. Their goal is to reduce child victimization by providing programs
and services to Canadians. They do this through public awareness activities, personal
safety education programs and the
national tipline to report online sexual
abuse of children (Cybertip.ca).

In partnership with the Canadian Association of Internet Providers, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, MTS Allstream and a growing number of telecommunication industry members, eagle.ca has launched the Campaign for Competitive Broadband.

Companies like eagle.ca lease portions of the phone company's network to reach our customers. Canada's two largest phone companies have asked the Federal Cabinet to limit access to telecommunication networks by competitors.
The result would ultimately lead to a reduction in competition for telecommunication services, including Internet access. This would
inevitably lead to less choice for consumers and higher prices.
We are asking the Federal Cabinet to deny the Bell/TELUS request and support a request by MTS Allstream which would ensure continued
healthy competition in the Canadian telecommunications industry.
We urge you to learn more about the
