Exploring urban changes in Prague: rush from industrial to
post-industrial places (pdf)
You are invited to join a very special long weekend in Prague from the 6th till the 9th of May.
The weekend includes a reunion with EGEAns from several generations, a scientific seminar with geographers from all over Europe, a geographical
fieldtrip, a guided city tour and social events.
We invite you to present your geographical work from your studies, PhD, PostDoc or work project.
The price of the weekend is 95 EURO, which includes the full program, all meals and accommodation in the centre of Prague.
You can register until the 1st of April.

MAINTENANCE ON THE 31st OF MARCH

Necessary maintenance website
On Wednesday the 31st of March, between 10 and 12 AM CET the website of EGEA will migrate to a new web server. The current (and the
new) server is hosted by the University of Utrecht. Because of the centralisation of the ICT departments at the UU, the expiring of the warranty for
the old web server and capacity problems, the UU has decided to acquire a new web server. Because of this the EGEA website has to be migrated to the
new web server environment. The past weeks we have been testing the website on this new server, and everything seems to be working. However, it may
occur that you encounter minor problems after the migration. If you do, please let the Secretariat know by using the Secretariat contact form
(click here).
Wednesday, March 31st, between 10 and 12 am Central European Time (CET), all the information on the website and the databases behind it will be copied
and placed on the new web server.
Because of this, we ask you not to use the website within this period, for it is not sure that the changes, posts or shouts you made are
available later.
All CP’s, moderators and other webstaff will receive a U2U as soon as the migration is completely finished.
Finally, I would like to mention that this maintenance is only for a new web server, and not for the new website.
