I'm trying to install a program so that I can take tests online. It's for MathXL. However, they're telling me that I might have a proxy setting and if so..I need to to type in the proxy server address. Where can I find this? Thanks.

Answer by EkiIf you have a direct internet connection, or a home router, don't worry about it.
If you are in a corporate network, ask your administrator.

For instance there is somebody who keeps spamming on my website forums and I have his IP address but he is using a proxy. Is there a program or way to trace his IP through the proxy?

Answer by KrasiMost proxies are anonymous so they do not keep any records and there is no way to trace an IP past the proxy :(
