Delhi, NY mdash;August 12, 2010 mdash; Jasig, the non-profit consortium sponsoring open source, higher education technology projects, today announced the launch of a new community of practice, ldquo;The 2-3-98 Project rdquo;.

WHY ATTEND THE JASIG UNCONFERENCE?
An unconference is an event featuring spontaneously planned activities based on the interests and needs of the participants.
Jasig Fund-Raising Program
Jasig has begun a new fund-raising program aimed at corporate sponsors and individual donors. First of all, we are now set up to receive individual tax-deductible donations through PayPal, by credit card, or by check. Secondly, we have started a corporate sponsorship program that will make it possible for commercial entities to support the work we do.

Jasig CAS September 2010 Community Call

The September 2010 CAS Community Call was a success and we look forward to having more calls like it. Thank you to everyone who participated and attended -- and if you couldn't make it to the call, read on to discover some resources from the call. This call introduced a new community call format consisting of a brief client and server status update, a 20 - 30 minute presentation about a specific CAS topic, and then an open question and answer period.

Jasig is proud to announce the general audience release of uPortal 3.0.6. uPortal 3.0.6 is a patch release for uPortal installations already on 3.0. Database and configuration compatibility is maintained for patch releases so upgrading to a patch release should be very easy for deployers.
