Today's review is written by Kristofer Brozio. Kristofer is from TestFreaks.com, a product review site, who graciously submitted this review for us to post on jonnyGURU.com.
USB 3.0 is here to stay, it’s not going anywhere, and it is the future of portable storage as we know it. It’s fast, much faster than UBS 2.0 will ever be and I can tell you that it is well worth it when transferring large amounts of data or large sized files. If you’ve ever tried to transfer large video files or a lot of smaller files via USB 2.0 then you know it’s best to start the process and just walk away as it’s going to be quite a while. With USB 3.0 that long wait is no longer. Permalink (By jonny on Tue, Mar-01-2011) Superflower Golden King 550W... Last week, I had a look at my very first 80 Plus Platinum review sample. At 550 watts, it turned out to be an incredible performer. Today, I'm repeating the exercise with Superflower's own version of the same platform. Will we get even better performance from the company that originated this design in the first place? We're about to find out. Permalink (By OklahomaWolf on Mon, Feb-28-2011) Kingwin Lazer Platinum 550W... Today marks another turning point in the world of power supply efficiency. First, we had 80 Plus Standard certification. Then came the Olympic levels - Bronze, Silver, and Gold. 80 Plus didn't stop there, however, and now we have Platinum. My first Platinum certified unit goes under the microscope today - the modular Kingwin LZP-550. Does the ultra high efficiency come at the cost of decreased performance? Let's not wait another minute to find out. Permalink (By OklahomaWolf on Tue, Feb-22-2011)

GIGABYTE's X58A-OC motherboard gets full introduction on video
The Taiwanese company has long been involved with
overclockers and overclocking events around the world where it has managed to
create a sizable market for itself. It has learnt much from the investment put
into these events over time and even managed to pick up a famous Taiwanese
extreme overclocker named "Hi Cookie". This guy is the brains behind
the X58A-OC, an overclocking motherboard designed by a real overclocker.
Logically it makes perfect sense, but how does it actually work out? From what
we saw today, pretty well. @ TweakTown

In-Win Griffin Case Review
The In-Win Griffin case is designed with the
beginning builder in mind. It is stylish on the outside and has some nice
features on the inside that helps to keep the confusion down on the first
build. Follow along as we go over how well this case is built as well as what
each feature of the case allows the end-user to do. @ TechwareLabs

Antec DF-85 Case Review
The Darkfleet series from Antec features a very
industrial design and comes jam packed with fans and features. There are models
for every budget and the DF-85 is the largest of the bunch. we take a look at
the many unique extras within the chassis and walk away impressed by both the
price and performance. @ techPowerUp

OCZ Technology RevoDrive 50GB PCI Express SSD Review
The RevoDrive is a single expansion card that is
effectively two SSDs (each with its own controller) coupled to an onboard RAID
controller (configured in RAID 0) that uses a PCI Express interface to
providing blazing fast transfer rates. The sample provided for review is a 50GB
unit rated for quite impressive read speeds of up to 540MB/s and write speeds
of up to 450MB/s. @ Bigbruin

Antec KXHLER H2O 620 Review
Antec's first foray into the watercooling arena
is a very nice product. Given that the Kuhler H2O 620 is another rebranded
Asetek unit, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the performance came very
close to the Corsair H70 unit with its big radiator and dual fans. @ Tweaknews

Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 PRO CPU Cooler Review
Going back to square one, Arctic Cooling keeps the base,
but this time adds bigger heat pipes. Also to aid in heat dissipation, the PRO
version also has much more surface area in the larger fin array. The largest
addition of the Freezer 13 PRO is a 120mm fan this time around to get more air
flowing over the larger surface area. That isn't all, though, not only is this
version bigger in looks and feel, but Arctic Cooling is trying out something I
have yet to see on any cooler I have tested. If I have intrigued you with what
you have heard thus far, I urge you to continue on and see what this new
concept has in store for very high heat producing CPUs. In this case, up to 300
Watts of power! @ TweakTown

Thermalright Silver Arrow CPU Cooler
CPU cooler design
(for air coolers, anyway) boils down to a few simple truths: while things like
heat pipe technology and base finish are important, the determining factors in
a heat sink's performance are its size and its airflow. Size is critical because
the more metal a CPU cooler contains, the more mass there is to absorb heat.
Airflow is important because the heat must be transferred from the heat sink to
the surrounding air. With its Silver Arrow design, Thermalright seeks to
maximize both of these parameters within the limitations imposed by a standard
computer case, and the result is a giant cooler with twin 140mm fans. In this
review, Benchmark Reviews puts the Thermalright Silver Arrow CPU cooler to the
test against a selection of high-end air and water coolers. @ Benchmark Reviews

Cooler Master Storm Spawn Optical Mouse Review
Our review unit today
comes from Cooler Master, a company renowned for their power supplies, chassis,
cooling products and many more. Some are even diehard fans about their spinoff
brand CM Storm, the gaming division of Cooler Master, similar to that of Tt
eSPORTS from Thermaltake (Really, they even abbreviated their name in the same
manner). The product we will be taking a deeper look at today will be the
Cooler Master Storm Spawn, which is the latest product from the CM Storm line of
products. If most readers recall, the previous Cooler Master Storm Inferno did
not perform exceptionally well. So today, let's see how much Cooler Master has
stepped up their game for the latest rendition in the CM Storm series of mice.
The Cooler Master Storm Spawn is advertised to have Omron Micro Switches for
their buttons, and is said to last up to 5 million mouse clicks. @ APH Networks

The Sentey Optimus is a mid-tower case that
costs only USD 60 but comes with lots of features usually only found on more
expensive models. The product is black and comes with two choices of trim

SandForce SF-2000 Series SSD Overview
Less than one year
ago SandForce gained control of the consumer solid state drive market with
their SandForce SF-1200 SSD Processor. This technology replaced the previous
generation of Barefoot SSDs designed around South Korean-based Indilinx, Inc.
While popular themselves, Indilinx Barefoot MLC SSDs lacked proper NAND
management and performance dramatically degraded over time. SandForce DuraClass
technology paired to TRIM support in Windows 7 has helped with this concern,
but it was their RAISE technology that provides RAID-like protection for single
SSD computer systems paired to AES-128 automatic data encryption that put them
on top. Now preparing to ship their second generation of SSD processors,
Benchmark Reviews takes a look at the differences. @ Benchmark Reviews

OCZ Vertex 3 240GB SSD Review
Just about a year ago OCZ released their latest
high performance SATA SSD, the Vertex 2 which was based on SandForce's latest
controller. That drive was a huge success, surpassing the performance of its
main competitor at the time, drives based on Indilinx controllers. Today we see
the successor to that product launch, the Vertex 3 which runs on SandForce's
latest controller and we have a 240GB sample on our test bench to find out how
it compares to products currently on the market in a selection of real world
and synthetic tests. @ HardwareHeaven

OCZ Technology Vertex 3 (SF-2200) Solid State Drive Preview
Yesterday we looked at the Corsair Performance 3, the
first retail next generation Marvell - BKK2 controlled SSD to hit our lab.
Today we have the Performance 3's, and for that matter every other new consumer
SSD's main competitor in house; the OCZ Technology Vertex 3. OCZ Technology
leads all other manufacturers in SSD development. The company has put forth a
vast amount of resources in this market and even all but abandoned their memory
products that put OCZ on the map. The payoff has been a near two year
domination of the SSD market with sales that dwarf all other manufacturers. OCZ
is at this point the SSD manufacturer in which all others strive to be.

Scythe Mine 2 CPU Cooler
The Mine 2 CPU Cooler
is based on a twin cooler Layout. Eight copper heatpipes transport heat to two
generously dimensioned cooling blocks. By placing the fan in between the 2
heatsink towers, intake as well as exhale airflows are optimized to provide
high performance. By default, the Mine 2 will be delivered with a centrally
placed, adjustable 140 mm Slip Stream PWM amp; VR fan.Although the fan supports the PWM feature, the user can manually adjust the PWM
bandwidth between 470 to 1,370 rpm and 740 to 1,900 rpm. @ Hardwareoverclock

Crucial Ballistix Smart Tracer PC3-12800 4GB Kit Review
I didn't think we'd ever see anything too fancy from
the company, though, but over the years we've seen the Ballistix series which
has grown to include a few different series' within that. The latest is the
Smart Tracer modules that carry that LED Tracer lighting, but in a smart way.
We say 'smart way' as the company has introduced the new Memory Overview
Display software (or M.O.D). We'll get into this soon, but let's first have a
closer look at the actual kit of RAM we're dealing with. @ TweakTown

Razer™ Announces New Mobile PC Gaming Concept Design
The Razer Switchblade powered by the Intel® Atom™ processor redefines Mouse/Keyboard Interface for mobile gamers with an all new ultra-sensitive multi-touch screen and dynamic tactile keyboard...
The Razer Switchblade concept was created from the ground up by Razer designers and engineers, in collaboration with Intel; focusing on enhancing the entire user experience of playing the extensive PC game library on a handheld device.
"The main problem with mobile PC gaming so far is that no one has been able to port the full mouse and keyboard experience onto a small size portable solution," said Min-Liang Tan, CEO and Creative Director, Razer. "By combining adaptive on-the-fly controls and display, we managed to maintain the full tactile keyboard in a miniature computer while saving valuable screen estate."p
