Focus on increased energy efficiency
Today practically all tendering processes concerning asset management include a demand for quality and environmental certification or the equivalent. Except for ISO standards which have been available on the market for quite some time now, and implemented at Newsec, there is now an official authorization of property managers available. The first property managers were authorized in November this year, four of them employed at Newsec.

Property Management is reaping the fruits of going through bad times
The signs of good times returning are many, I’m sure all have noticed. For us at Newsec this is evident in several ways.
In our existing assignments we notice that our clients are again involved in transactions. We are to a larger extent asked to contribute to these; analyzing existing premises and selling them, as well as finding suitable properties and portfolios to buy. Values are coming back
When Newsec started to produce a valuation index in the beginning of 2008, the real estate values were at an all-time high. In the summer of 2009, Norwegian properties had lost between 15 and 20 percent of their value as an average. The volatile office markets in Oslo and Stavanger suffered the most, while shopping centers in general and offices in Bergen and Trondheim held their value best. Steaming hot market
At the moment properties that can be converted to residential properties are steaming hot in Stockholm. Working with real estate is very dynamic.
