Spring Is The New Summer!
Now is a great time to start thinking about those spring travel plans. Why wait until summer, when you can take advantage of some great travel packages today that will have you relaxing on the beaches of the Outer Banks in just a few weeks!
There are some great events coming up this spring, that you can build a weekend getaway around, or take the week off to really soak in the fun. If you're a fan of coastal cuisine, you will definitely want to check out OBX Taste of the Beach this March 17-20, 2011. It's a four day food and wine festival with limited tickets available now online. That weekend also culminates with the 3rd Annual Running of the Leprechauns 8K and the 23rd Annual Kelly's St. Patrick's Day Parade in Nags Head, the largest of its kind in North Carolina. There's also an open car, truck and motorcycle show you can participate in or just check from March 17-20 called the Shamrock All Wheels Show. Put the wind in your face with a challenging yet beautiful foot race through the northern beaches with the Flying Pirate Half Marathon Weekend April 9-10, or if you love the fun of an open-air ride, it doesn't get any better than the Outer Banks from April 16-24, 2011 with the 9th Annual Outer Banks Bike Week.
