Undateable Men
March 15th, 2010
So I walked into my favorite breakfast joint after putting in a few miles on foot.
And I look down and see the weekly Tampa Bay News. All over the cover is a very disturbing word: #8220;Loser, Loser, Loser. #8221;
In my right hand I have a well marked up copy of Psycho-Cybernetics. I switch it to my left to see what this #8220;loser #8221; copy is all about. And to my surprise, it #8217;s a plug for a book that details some 300+ ways men cause themselves to be immediately rejected or snubbed by women. 300+ ways that men turn off women.
A book filled with all the things men do that supposedly don #8217;t work.
Hmmm.
How about a book with 300+ things men can do to make themselves more attractive to women.
And the very first one is to build a healthy self-image in which you see yourself as attractive to women; you see women liking you; and you feel the attraction taking place before your eyes meet.
The fastest way men can make themselves more attractive is to change their energy #8211; and the fastest way to change your energy is to change the way you breathe and the way you move #8211; and these two areas are changed, once again, by the way you picture things in your own mind.
So if you want to make yourself dateable, loveable and so on #8211; don #8217;t start with all the externals like clothes and cars #8211; although these can help. Instead, start with who you are on the inside #8211; and watch the results you #8217;re getting undergo a quantum shift to the positive.

The Best Thing About Losing
March 8th, 2010
Last Saturday afternoon my son #8217;s baseball team was leading 7-3 in the third inning. Both sets of grandparents were watching the #8220;sure-thing #8221; victory.
Two innings later, the game ended 11-7. The kids were crushed.
But their coach knew just what to say to lift their spirits #8211; and I took note.
#8220;Men, the best thing about losing games like this is you get to forget about them. But when you WIN #8211; you get to remember those moments FOREVER. #8221;
WOW. What a great message. Focus on your victories. Forget about your losses.
Two weeks ago when I was coaching a group of men and women in Phoenix, Arizona, I put everyone through an exercise where you go back into your past and find your #8220;winningest moment. #8221; Once found, you relive it with even greater emotion and glory than the day it happened.
Before doing this exercise, a 53-year old  Canadian man came forward to tell a story about #8220;the hit #8221; he got in a baseball game when he was 12.
His team was down by a run #8211; with two outs and the bases loaded. As he took the plate he overheard people in the stands saying, #8220;Ah, we got this one. This guy #8217;s our home run hitter. #8221;
And he was. That year he #8217;d slammed 14 home runs.
He swung and missed the first two pitches. Then on the third pitch he connected with all his might and the ball sailed into the outfield. Deep, deep into centerfield.
As he was telling this story I noted water in his eyes, 41 years after the fact.
I wondered why. Then he revealed the rest of the story #8230;
The ball sailed and sailed. It was going to be the game winning walk-off home run. He would be the hero of the day.
But at the very last moment, the outfielder leaped high enough for the ball to hit his glove.
And caught it.
Game over.
#8220;You told me you got a HIT, #8221; I said  #8220;In the U.S. that #8217;s not a HIT #8211; that #8217;s an OWT (trying my best to speak Canadian). #8221;
The man smiled for the first time #8211; but was still a bit choked up about his memory.
#8220;How many home runs did you hit again, #8221; I asked.
#8220;Fourteen, #8221; he said.
#8220;Could you tell me about the best one you hit. #8221;
#8220;Actually, I can #8217;t remember any of them. #8221;
#8220;Huh? You hit 14 home runs in one season and you can #8217;t remember any of them? #8221;
#8220;Correct. #8221;
#8220;Well, your assignment for right now then is to remember your home runs. ALL of them. #8221;
I then turned to the others and said, #8220;And the same assignment applies to you. Remember your home runs #8211; and create more of them. Stop focusing on the losses #8211; unless you want more of them. #8221;
Over the next few hours our Canadian brother began to recall his REAL hits #8211; his home runs #8211; and then he relived them in his Theatre of the Mind. And when he left the meeting he was all the better for having done so.
Focusing on your victories is basic and fundamental to your success. And like anything, the basics and fundamentals are the keys to victory.
If you haven #8217;t updated and/or reviewed your WIN LIST #8211; do so immediately. Then focus on your victories and forget about your losses.
The best thing about your losses is you get to leave them behind.
The best thing about your wins is that you get to remember them for the rest of your life.
Matt Furey
P.S. In Zero Resistance Living you learn how to focus on your victories in a way that will catapult you onto success, day after day. Year after year.

Are You a Natural?
March 3rd, 2010
Last weekend my son struck out the side in a Little League baseball game.
On Sunday a friend came over to work out with me. He asked how the game went and I gave him the scoop about how my youngin #8217; whiffed three batters in a row.
He then turns to my son and says, #8220;You #8217;re a natural. #8221;
I immediately recoiled and said, #8220;He #8217;s a natural at knowing he better practice if he #8217;s going to be good. #8221;
There are two extremes when it comes to coaching kids #8211; or adults, for that matter.
One is to criticize severely and never offer anything positive.
The other is to flatter and praise too early and too often, which can and often does cause the person being stroked to lose interest. After all, if you #8217;re being coddled before victory, what #8217;s the point in striving to succeed?
I prefer the middle path. It #8217;s called teaching those you love and those you coach to practice, practice, practice.
Regardless of who praises you and for what #8211; you practice.
Regardless of who criticizes you and for what #8211; you practice.
I believe in praising others for that which deserves praise and can be duplicated. Telling someone he #8217;s a natural is not one of those situations. It #8217;s feedback that does nothing to move you along the path. It makes you stop and think, #8220;Am I really? #8221; instead of thinking, #8220;What can I DO to get even better? #8221;
Earlier in my life I was told I was a natural writer.
Later on I was told I was a natural speaker.
Neither statement led to anything positive. Neither statement helped me grow in either field. Neither helped me succeed in the slightest.
#8220;You #8217;re a natural, #8221; someone says.
#8220;So what? #8221; I reply.
Show me how you practice #8211; and later still, how you play #8211; and even more so, how you react to victory #8211; as well as defeat #8211; then we #8217;ll see how #8216;natural #8217; you are.
When you are at your best, when you #8217;re most natural at what you do #8211; that #8217;s the day when you know you #8217;ve put in your time and paid your dues via the power of repetition.
That #8217;s the moment in time when you know what it really feels like to be Unbeatable.
Fortunately, I #8217;ve seen those moments #8211; those unbeatable times. And I #8217;ve written about how I got there in a way that will inspire you or your children to overcome the odds and make more out of yourself than any #8216;natural #8217; label can ever bestow.
When you lt;a href= #8221;http://theunbeatableman.com #8221; target= #8221;_blank #8221; gt;order a copy of my new book lt;/a gt; you #8217;ll never forget the day you pick up the book and begin reading. You won #8217;t be able to put it down until you #8217;re finished. And afterward you #8217;ll keep thinking about it #8211; and passing this powerful message on.
Order now and as a special bonus I #8217;m going to toss in a copy of an audio CD entitled The Power of Thought Vibration #8211; a $39 value #8211; yours gratis because you went for it NOW.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. You may be born with natural gifts and talent #8211; but as Mark Twain once wrote, #8220;Talent is useless without training, thank God. #8221; I may be compensated for any link you click in this email.

The Power of Positive Practice
February 16th, 2010
Last week I wrote about 10,000 hours of practice. Today I #8217;m going to write about the power of positive practice #8211; or the power of repetition #8211; and how many to do if you want to move ahead.
Now, let #8217;s say you #8217;re a martial artist and you want to know how 10,000 hours of practice applies to you.
Well, in order to become legendary, you #8217;ll still need 10,000 hours. But in order to master a number of different skills along the way, you may be better off concentrating on overall repetitions.
In Chinese martial arts, for example, it #8217;s common for the old masters to say, #8220;Do 1,000 repetitions of this movement everyday and you #8217;ll own it. #8221;
And if the student will commit to 1,000 reps a day, within a year he #8217;ll be a force to reckon with in that particular skill.
Why? Because the average person won #8217;t even commit to 100 reps a day, much less 10. If you #8217;re the person who #8217;ll do 1,000 #8211; you #8217;ll be so smooth and quick that even if the person knows what you #8217;re going to do, he still won #8217;t be able to stop it.
When I had my school in California it was common for me to teach a move that I had worked on for 10-20 years. It was also common for the non-champion student to go off and practice the move two or three times, then turn to me and say, #8220;What #8217;s next boss? #8221;
#8220;What #8217;s next? WHAT #8217;S NEXT??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? #8221;
I have a friend, Mitch, who was 0-13 as a martial artist. Then his coach took him aside and told him the secret to winning. #8220;Practice everyday #8211; more than anyone else. #8221;
A month later a world champion told him, #8220;1,000 kicks per day, per leg. #8221;
Mitch followed what these champions told him. And within three months he wasn #8217;t just winning, he was destroying everyone. His matches weren #8217;t even close.
270-straight wins later, Mitch knew the secret of his success wasn #8217;t positive thinking #8211; it was positive doing.
It was Positive Practice.
Another martial arts friend, Jack, gave me a tool as a gift. And along with the tool the advice, #8220;Practice your first move with it 200 times a day for 10 days. #8221;
The first day I was clumsy with it. The second day less clumsy. The third day, much better.  And after ten days and 2,000+ reps, I was incredibly fast compared to when I started. And I still have a long way to go if I #8217;m going to master this tool.
When it comes to a major skill, you #8217;ll need 10,000 hours to achieve mastery. But you can master sub-skills #8211; or small parts of the big puzzle by doing 50, 100, 200 or 1,000 repetitions per day.
My friend, Pete, told me the story of how he became a great pitcher. #8220;My Dad had me throw 50 pitches a night through a tire hanging from a tree in our back yard. And I didn #8217;t get my evening meal until all 50 pitches went through the tire. By the time I was 16 I could put the ball in the strike zone anywhere I wanted. #8221;
If you think in terms of hours, one hour of practice per day will get you to 10,000 hours in 27.39 years. 30 minutes a day will take you 54.79 years.
But if you spend two hours per day #8211; you #8217;ll get there in 13.69 years. Three hours per day will get you there in 9.13 years. Four hours per day will only take you 6.84 years. And if you put in eight hours per day you can reach mastery in 3.42 years.
Putting in an hour a day may seem impossible to you #8211; especially over 27+ years. That #8217;s when a gentle reminder about concentrating on the number of repetitions per day makes the whole ball game much easier to play.
Most days I walk four miles at a pretty good clip, usually in less than an hour.
10,000 hours of walking will take me 27 years or so, unless I go to eight, 12 or 20 miles a day.
10,000 miles at 4 miles per day will take me 6.84 years.
And if I concentrate on doing 1,000 miles #8211; well, I can crank that out in 250 days.
Earl Nightingale once wrote that a half-hour per day of reading on a single subject would make you a world renowned authority on it within seven years. That #8217;s 1,277.50 hours.
And just think what you #8217;d know if you read ten times that amount.
For those in search of mastery, for those who gain meaning from being on a journey, the power of positive practice is something to embrace.
To see the power of these principles applied par excelence, make sure you read a copy of The Unbeatable Man.
Along with your order you #8217;ll receive a copy of The Power of Thought Vibration #8211; a CD you #8217;ll want to listen to again and again for guts, guidance and good fortune.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. Anything in life that you want to become good at can be done by following the Law of Practice #8211; a cornerstone of The Unbeatable Man philosophy.

How Many Goals to Visualize
February 11th, 2010
One of the questions I am asked quite a bit about Psycho-Cybernetics is this:
#8220;Matt, I have a lot of goals. When I visualize, should I concentrate on just one or should I picture all of them? #8221;
This is a good question #8211; and I have two answers. They are as follows: Yes #8211; and No.
Let me give the #8216;yes #8217; portion of the answer first.
If you have a written list of goals, or if you keep them on 3 #215;5 cards (as I do), you can quickly go through each one #8211; and with #8216;open eyes #8217; make a quick mental snapshot to remind yourself of what it is that you want.
No problem with that.
But when you go into the Theatre Of Your Mind and begin visualizing, it is best to focus on one specific goal.
Here #8217;s why:
Suppose you are outside on a sunny day with a magnifying glass and you want to start a fire. What would happen if you quickly moved the magnifying
glass from place to place? Not much, right?
But what if you find a spot and focus the magnifying glass on that spot and leave it there? What would happen? If you said, you would start a fire #8211; you
are correct.
The same is true with goals. Concentration and focus are key. They are how you build desire. And the amazing thing about focus is this: If you focus on one goal, if you really put a lof of focus on a single objective #8211; a lot of your other goals will get caught up in the fire and they #8217;ll get accomplished, even when you
aren #8217;t consciously #8216;working #8217; on them.
To learn more about how you can achieve any goal by strengthening your self-image go here.
Best,
Matt Furey

10,000 Hours of Practice
February 10th, 2010
If you haven #8217;t read Malcolm Gladwell #8217;s book, Outliers, I recommend you pick up a copy.
Why?
Because inside it you may discover something that you #8217;re not being told by all the Law of Attraction advocates.
And do want to know what that something is?
In The Unbeatable Man I call it The Law of Practice.
It #8217;s a law that I have previously written, #8220;supersedes the Law of Attraction. #8221;
This means, if you want to get really good at something, even attracting things to yourself with your own mind, you might as well make a chart with 10,000 squares on it and tack it on your wall where you #8217;ll see it everyday.
And each time you #8217;ve put in an hour of practice in this specific area, you fill in a square.
The other night, when queried about this 10,000 hours of practice LAW with a friend, I began to count the time I #8217;ve put into various areas of my life in which I am thought of as #8220;successful. #8221;
In five different areas in which I am ahead of the pack, I have put in at least 10,000 hours. And so it is no coincidence that these five areas are strong suits for me.
Now, if the prospect of practicing 10,000 hours makes you cower enough to throw in the towel #8211; that #8217;s a sad thing #8211; but the fact of the matter is that MOST people won #8217;t even put in 1,000 hours on any one subject.
This means you can move ahead of 90% or more of the pack by putting in 1,000 hours of practice in a single area.
And if you #8217;re willing to put in 100 hours #8211; you #8217;ll probably move ahead of 75% of everybody.
Why?
Because the average person never commits to practicing much of anything.
That #8217;s very good news, eh?
I thought so, too.
Thing is, after you #8217;ve put in 100 hours, or 1,000 #8211; you #8217;ll like what you #8217;re doing so much you #8217;ll probably feel inclined to put in another 10,000. And it #8217;ll feel effortless to do so.
That #8217;s called #8230; the Law of Cosmic Habit Force.
Another great LAW to bone up on.
Take a moment to visualize what life would be like for you after you #8217;ve put in more time, 10,000 hours, than almost anyone.
Then order a copy of The Unbeatable Man because that #8217;s who you #8217;ll become.
Best,
Matt Furey
P.S. 10,000 hours is also the way of Zero Resistance Living another great program you #8217;ll want to have in your car and library.

Make Money in Your Sleep
February 1st, 2010
There are many money making ideas you can come up with while you sleep. And these can lead to a substantial increase in your income. They can also lead to you landing the job you #8217;ve always wanted.
All of the ideas you come up with begin with being conscious of what you are thinking about just before going to bed.
What questions are you asking yourself?
What thoughts are you thinking?
And how much emotion do you put into what you #8217;re thinking?
If you ask the right questions before bed and think powerful thoughts, your subconscious mind will go to work for you while you #8217;re sleeping.
You #8217;ll begin to dream the answers to your questions.
And if you #8217;re keeping a notepad and pen on your nightstand, you #8217;re already programmed to wake up and record your thoughts as they enter your dream state movie theatre.
It #8217;s truly amazing when you are guided to do the right things in your sleep. With your conscious mind moved out of the way, you #8217;ll find solutions much faster than you ever imagined.
In your dream state you are totally free to think and do whatever you want. And I think you #8217;ll be surprised when you discover how much of this limitlessness is transferable to your waking state.
As well as how much power there is in the first thought you think when you awaken each day.
Then there #8217;s the power of a daily shower #8211; wherein most people will say they receive their most creative ideas. Ever wonder why that is?
Well, how #8217;d you like to know the most powerful thoughts to think when you wake up each day, as well as what to think just before falling asleep?

If so, make sure you get yourself a copy of 101 Ways to Magnetize Money.
This book will make your head spin with so many ideas you #8217;ll be stunned at all the opportunities you #8217;ve missed.
Not anymore. This time you #8217;re going to see the good opportunities coming from afar #8211; and you #8217;ll be ready.
You #8217;ll be ready during the day, while sleeping at night #8211; and while in the shower.
Get you pen and pad ready as you wait for this book to arrive.
Best,
Matt Furey

Sex and Self-Image #8211; Take 2
January 29th, 2010
Well, all I can say is that the abundance of emails coming in over the last couple days are pretty conclusive evidence that y #8217;all want to hear more on sex and self-image.
Now let me tell you, some of what I #8217;m going to write on this subject may seem incredible. It may stretch your mind to a few new dimensions #8211; but isn #8217;t that what sex energy does?
It stretches you #8230; in more ways than one.
As your sexual energy increases and you #8217;ve harnessed it rather than let it dissipate, I think you #8217;ll be amazed at how the world changes around you. Instead of having to chase after what you want, you #8217;ll begin to attract it #8211; oftentimes with incredible ease #8211; and I #8217;m not just talking about lovers.
In fact, I #8217;m talking about far more than sexual love #8211; I #8217;m talking about positive experiences. People coming up to you to speak for a while who used to pay you no heed. Even, if you #8217;re up for a stretch, animals coming to be by your side.
This morning, for example, I was out for my internal power walk. I was trekking at my typical clip when a young lady ran past me with her dog.
After the lady and the dog were about 20 meters ahead of me, for some odd reason the dog stopped in his tracks and sat on the ground looking back at me. The lady ran in place whilst waiting on her dog #8211; which she thought was ready to move his bowels. She even had her plastic bag in hand for the expected
poop-scoop.
But the dog just sat there until I was a couple feet away. He then sprung to his paws, stuck his tongue out and licked my calf.
I continued walking.
And as I did so the young lady said to her dog, #8220;Ah, you just wanted to say hello, huh? Good dog. Nice dog. #8221;
After my walk finished I went for breakfast by myself and two young waitresses came to my table to ask questions about their lives. I enjoyed talking to them #8211; yet that #8217;s as far as it goes.
Interestingly, these sort of occurrences never used to happen to me.
So what changed?
Well, in short, I am a student of psycho-physical exercises #8211; movements you do with your body that connect your physical, mental and spiritual energies at a level you may not have heard discussed before.
And the cool thing about these exercises is that they change how other people see you #8211; as well as how you see yourself #8211; even though you #8217;re not even trying to make anything but the energy within and around you change.
Many of you wrote and asked if this was like Napoleon Hill #8217;s sex transmutation. Well, yes and no. It #8217;s transmuting sexual energy, without a doubt #8211; just not the way he explained it.
I #8217;ll go into more detail on this in near future.
Stay tuned.
Matt Furey
P.S. Before I forget #8211; I #8217;m almost out of my book, 101 Ways to Magnetize Money grab one while they last.
P.P.S. Just to balance things out #8211; with a smidgeon of humility #8211; there are some dogs who don #8217;t like me and would bite me if I came near. Ouch!
