Datacenter Power Outage Scheduled Nov. 27
IT services will be down from 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 27 through 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 28 due to a planned outage.
The power that supplies the datacenter and the capacity of the battery backup in the datacenter in Burdick reached maximum capacity several months back. All of the preliminary work has been done. It is now time to complete the installation which will require shutting down the datacenter on two separate occasions. During these times, all IT services will be down.
The second and final planned outage will occur at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 17. The datacenter should be back up and online by 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
If there is critical University business that will be impacted by this outage, please contact the IT staff as soon as possible due to the fact that the work being performed requires planning and coordinating schedules with University staff and multiple vendors.
