Το Visual Communication Designers' Club, αποτελεί μια Ελληνική κοινότητα σχεδιαστών οπτικής επικοινωνίας, υπό την ευρύτερη έννοια του όρου, θέλοντας να συμπεριλάβει στα μέλη της κάθε ειδικότητα και βαθμίδα όσων σπουδάζουν ή εργάζονται στον χώρο της επικοινωνίας, έντυπης, διαδικτυακής, τρισδιάστατης ή εφαρμογών πολυμέσων.
Το ταξίδι του VCDC, ξεκινά με μια μικρή αλλά φιλόδοξη προσπάθεια και υλοποιείται αρχικά μέσα από ένα ανοικτό, δημοκρατικό, μη κερδοσκοπικό φόρουμ, το οποίο έχει σκοπό να δώσει την δυνατότητα έκφρασης σε κάθε σκεπτόμενο σχεδιαστή, να αποτελέσει πεδίο γόνιμου και θετικού προβληματισμού στα θέματα γύρω από το design, να σταθεί αρωγός δίπλα στον νέο επαγγελματία με απαντήσεις πάνω σε θεωρητικά και πρακτικά ζητήματα και να ενημερώσει για τα επαγγελματικά θέματα και νέα που αφορούν όλους μας.
Κυρίως όμως και περισσότερο απ΄όλα, προκύπτει από την αγάπη μας για το χώρο της δημιουργίας και την ίδια την ανθρώπινη επικοινωνία, την οποία όλοι μας υπηρετούμε σαν σχεδιαστές.
Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τα νέα μέλη μας, για την συμπαράσταση και την προθυμία τους να ενταχθούν στις προσπάθειές μας και καλούμε όλους τους φίλους και φίλες συναδέλφους να επισκεφθούν τον δικτυακό τόπο του VCDC και να εμπλουτίσουν το δυναμικό των μελών μας με την παρουσία τους συνεισφέροντας στο κοινό έργο όλων με ιδέες, προβληματισμούς και δημιουργικές απόψεις.
Η αξία και το περιεχόμενο κάθε διαδικτυακής κοινότητας, είναι τα ίδια της τα μέλη...εσείς. Ας ανεβάσουμε τον πήχη ψηλά και μαζί του, το Ελληνικό design.
About VCDC
Τhe Visual Communication Designers' Club is a Community of Greek Visual Communication Designers, which encompasses members who either study or work in the visual, print, web, 3D or multimedia design sector, varying in speciality and level.
Starting out as a small, but promising initiative in 2005, VCDC has evolved into the biggest and most active web community of the people who are actively participating in every important event of the Visual Ccommunication industry.
The club’s objectives are met on a daily basis thanks to an open, democratic, noncommercial forum that offers all designers the freedom to express their views, while serving as a virtual meeting point, where members have the opportunity to engage into a constructive dialogue about design. Furthermore, the club acts as a reliable supporter of any new professional designer, by giving answers to various theoretical and practical issues. It also serves as a rich information source, by providing frequent news updates on professional matters of common interest.
The club's and the management team's activity originates from the love we share not only for creativity, but also for human communication- a field we all serve through our work.
We would like to thank our -4.500 and counting- members for their continuous support and for their uncompromising willingness to be part of our efforts. We also invite all our fellow designers to offer their own personal contribution to our common work through their presence, their ideas, their questions and their creative thinking.
Our inspiration and our aspiration is to raise the bar and with it, Greek Design as a whole.
