In my new role, as Associate Representative, on the board of BSPI (Bridal Show Producers International), I have a resurgent interest in the relationship between show producers, exhibitors/advertisers, and the bride. One of the prime directives for BSPI is to be an organization for ethical and competent bridal show producers... to promote high standards in the wedding wndustry.
Having exhibited at close to 100 bridal shows, during my life as a DJ, I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly.
In the end, here's what I believe one should expect from a bridal show producer.

On the road again. This time to Atlanta, Georgia, for two wedding marketing seminars, hosted by The Georgia Bridal Show and The Southern Bridal Show.

Situational Ethics: Navigating the grey areas
When I was 24, having just moved to San Francisco, I landed a job in advertising with KBRG Spanish Radio. I had very few contacts in town, but one of them was an entertainment talent agent, who also promoted some concerts.

This morning, the lyrics from a 1960's song popped into my head.
"Slow down, you move too fast. You got to make each morning last. Just kickin' down the cobble-stones, lookin' for fun and feelin' groovy."
At the end of a 10-day speaking trip, that took me from Las Vegas to Sioux Falls, SD, to Madison, Wi, to Milwaukee, WI, to Anchorage, AK, and back to Las Vegas.... I should be spent. Tired? A little. But at the same time refreshed.

Marketing is EVERYTHING the customer sees and hears
I #8217;m midway through a 10-day, 9-night trip, with stops in 4 cities and 3 states. At this midpoint, I #8217;m spending a couple of days in an airport hotel, getting some rest, recharging my batteries and doing some work.
