The Simple Truth About Optimized Web Content
by: Trish Andrews
With all the roar about SEO web content, there is really just a simple truth we need to focus on. The benefits then become clear and profitable!
To rank well in any search engine, the words you write should never be a second thought. They must be your absolute first thought. Give careful attention to the words on your web pages right from the very beginning of planning and designing your website.
Content development experts know the one thing that causes websites to win or lose in the search engines is Words. The words you use and how you use them to create your content is your best asset is to naturally market your website in the search engines.
Why is that?
Website content that is #8220;optimized #8221; for the search engines deliberately aims right at the very words and phrases people are typing as search terms as they hunt for information or products.
IT ALL MAKES SENSE
There is nothing mystical about it #8230; it #8217;s as black-and-white and sensible as it gets! Readers of web pages need to be immediately assured that the page they land on is what they #8217;re after. The page needs to be clear and on point.

3 Little Pigs Went to Market But One Went Faster
by: Earma Brown
I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals. - Winston Churchill
No, I #8217;m not calling you a pig. Now that I have your attention, I want to talk with you about finishing your book fast and getting it to market faster. Did you start on your book and lose focus? You would love the rewards of a completed book but wonder where you could fit writing into your schedule.
Don #8217;t be discouraged; let me share some tips that will jumpstart your writing again. Trust me, if it feels like you #8217;ve been stuck in the mud, these tips will pull you out. I call them the habits of highly effective authors. Successful writers set up a system of writing using steps that become habits. Practice the habits below and write your best book now:
1. Do a reality check.
Do you have a plan in place? Don #8217;t set yourself up for failure by not planning. Even if it #8217;s a simple intention goal like I complete my book (title of book) this year by (date and year.) I educate myself and do what it takes to complete it. Set one and write it down so you can hit the target.

The Benefits of Publishing Articles to Build Big Ticket Marketing Relationships
September 22nd, 2009 | Category: Article Writing
Ok, today we are going to talk about one of my favorite Big Ticket Marketing tools ? writing articles!
You are probably thinking, what does writing articles have to do with Big Ticket Marketing?
Well, it turns out, it has plenty to do with it and I #8217;m going to tell you why.
It #8217;s about the relationship!
As a Big Ticket Marketer you have an even tougher job of convincing your potential customers to become actual customers. That #8217;s because Big Ticket items have a much higher price tag then other products. And the higher price tag means that you have more skepticism to overcome than someone who is just selling a $37 e-book.
Also, you may be in an industry where there is a lot of competition with products that have very similar capabilities or features. So how do you differentiate yourself and your Big Ticket product from the others?
In my opinion, the key factor that should make you different from the others is not price. Although that is an important consideration it is not the only one when people are spending more to purchase a product. The key factor, I believe, is the relationship that you create between yourself and your prospective and existing customers.

Nine Good Irish Quotes and Proverbs
by: Niall Cinneide
The Irish, those who hail the country of Ireland, both by birth and those who simply claim it, are a God-fearing and unique group of people. It is said that everybody has been an Irish Catholic at least once in their lives. Who won #8217;t join in the festivities of St. Patrick #8217;s Day celebrations? Attributed to the Irish are hundreds of thousands of quotes over the centuries, and here are a few of their best. Enjoy, and feel free to use for yourself as often as you like.
1. #8220;There is no language like the Irish for soothing and quieting. #8221;~~ By John Millington Synge~~
2. #8220;St. Patrick #8217;s Day is an enchanted time #8212; a day to begin transforming winter #8217;s dreams into summer #8217;s magic. #8221;~~ By Adrienne Cook.~~
3. #8220;Ireland is rich in literature that understands a soul #8217;s yearnings, and dancing that understands a happy heart. #8221;~~ By Margaret Jackson.~~
4. #8220;Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and fat. #8221;~~ By Alex Levine.~~
5. #8220;Maybe it #8217;s bred in the bone, but the sound of pipes is a little bit of heaven to some of us. #8221; ~~ By Nancy O #8217;Keeefe.~~

The Surprising Maxim that Maximises Your Copywriting Results

The Surprising Maxim that Maximises Your Copywriting Results
by: Kris Mills
Who was it that said, #8220;Modesty is a virtue #8221;? Whoever it was, I #8217;m sure they weren #8217;t referring to the field of sales and marketing, where self-promotion is the name of the game #8230; or were they?
Take a good look at anyone who is a roaring success in sales, in copywriting or in marketing and you #8217;ll see that one of the secrets of their success is in being able to really connect with people one-on-one, on their level. Sure, that means developing a great rapport with them, being a great listener and being a great communicator and more. But there #8217;s one factor that separates these greats from the wannabes.
It #8217;s called the #8220;Modesty Maxim #8221;. The people who master this element of rapport, achieve mastery.
Here #8217;s how it works in copywriting. It can be used in a very similar way in sales too.
When you #8217;re writing to (or speaking with) a prospect who has a certain problem that they want to solve, chances are they are feeling a little insecure about a certain aspect of who they are.

Accelerate Your Freelance Copywriting Master Business Plan!
September 21st, 2009 | Category: Copywriting
Ever wish for your own copywriting business?
Ever wish you could become one of those internet marketing gurus and live out your dream of being who you really want to be?
Well, what #8217;s stopping you? Is it time? Money? Fear of the unknown? These are the roadblocks that prevent so many of us from achieving our full potential for greatness.
If you #8217;re good at something, and I #8217;m sure that you are #8230; maybe you should really think about taking that storehouse of knowledge you #8217;ve acquired over the course of your experiences, and using it to your benefit.
But how will you do this? It #8217;s such a big, wide world out there, and you #8217;re one person. You might fall down!
What do little kids do when they fall down? They cry. But then #8230; they get back up! Children don #8217;t let a little scrape on the knee ruin their good time. Neither should you.
The internet offers a golden opportunity to get your name out there and build an empire of wealth and personal success. It may sound like I #8217;m spewing a bunch of sales jargon right now, but I #8217;m being totally sincere. And guess what? I #8217;m a real, live person with emotions, memories, heartbreaks and dreams just like you. I #8217;m making it happen for myself, as I write this.

How To Handle Writer #8217;s Block
by: Maggie Dennison
Do you ever sit down to write and feel as if you #8217;re plodding through mud to get even a few words down on paper? Do you wonder if you #8217;ll ever come up with a useful idea again? You may be suffering from writer #8217;s block. This topic is brought up often in my teleclass on how to write marketing materials and it happens to many of us including me.
One thing is sure: the more I stare hopefully at my computer screen, the less it works and the more frustated I get. For me, the first thing to do is to distract myself from the obsessive focus on #8220;I need to write but I can #8217;t. #8221;
I #8217;d like to share some of my favorite tricks for getting unstuck. I hope they #8217;ll give you some places to start thinking about what could work for you.
1. Usually what works best for me is to do something physical to shift the energy, like going for a walk. Not a grim #8220;exercise at all costs #8221; type of walk. That #8217;s too tense and intense. I make it a gentle, slow meandering walk around my neighborhood, stopping to notice the surroundings, listen to the birds, and stroke the local cats that cross my path.

Titles (and Subtitles) Sell Books!
September 20th, 2009 | Category: Book Marketing
Does a title really sell a book? The short answer is, yes. If a book does not attract a reader initially, it will be overlooked and not purchased. The book title is the element that creates the initial attraction to the book.
Watch people who are browsing in a bookstore. A catchy title grabs their interest and makes them reach for the book out of curiosity. A great title makes browsers think, quot;Really? quot; or quot; What does THAT mean? quot; or quot; That #8217;s what I need quot;. Think long and hard when choosing your book #8217;s title. The title must give some clues about the book #8217;s contents in a snappy quot;one-liner quot;.
Many authors struggle fiercely with the title choice, not realizing that the title is there somewhere in the book #8217;s contents. They just haven #8217;t recognized it because they are too close to the project. Sometimes it helps to talk to impartial, unbiased persons. Tell them what your book is about, and then listen to their feedback.
Alternately, on the tongue-in-cheek advice of one publishing professional, open a bottle of wine and start writing. Make a list of everything that comes to mind about what you have written in your book. Nothing is too silly, but do try to strike on the central theme or message.

The Secret Of Writing Persuasive Web Content

The Secret Of Writing Persuasive Web Content
by: Trish Andrews
Writing persuasive web content covers a wonderful variety of writing techniques. You can use different voices, humor, inspiration, or sales copy. Every web page should have a purpose: To familiarize, to inform, or to call the reader to action (click to the next page, join a newsletter, buy a product, or sign up for a mini-course.)
The writing style or technique you use for each web page should be #8220;in tune #8221; with the goal of that page. And the one key to writing persuasive web content #8212; and ultimately a successful web site #8212; is this: Understand Your Readers.
Website owners and writers understand the purpose behind most websites is to generate income.
It is a well-known fact that the majority of web readers are seeking information. These readers likely do not know that most web sites exist to make money.
Think Like Your Readers
When you understand this one aspect, then you will succeed in writing very effective and persuasive web content. Think like your readers, who probably have reached your site looking for help, reinforcement, or how-to-do-something. Great persuasive web content isn #8217;t a sales pitch. It #8217;s much more far-reaching than that.
