Young Creative Entrepreneurs
British Council is happy to announce that the winner of International Young Interactive Entrepreneur award 2010 is Ernests Štāls.
Ernests is 27 years old entrepreneur, who runs his enterprise ‘Soon’, a company, which specializes in interactive internet and mobile solutions. Ernests has graduated from Ventspils University with a degree in economics.

Global Youth Summit 2010: Call for applications
Are you between 16 and 19 years old? Are you a social entrepreneur, community activist or volunteer? Do you want to bring about positive change?
Do you want to become a Global Changemaker?
If your answer to these questions is quot;Yes quot;, read no further. Starting today, we are accepting applications for the Fifth Annual Global Youth Summit of the Global Changemakers programme. Once again we'll be bringing 60 young people with a passion for change together in the UK, providing them with training, ideas and a whole new network of likeminded people.

Young Creative Entrepreneurs Club
The British Council Latvia is organising the 2nd Young Creative Entrepreneur Club Event on 30th September from 16.00 to 18.00. This time we invite young creative entrepreneurs and emerging entrepreneurs to take part in the workshop ‘Extending the scope of design’ with the focus on design export management.
The workshop will be lead by the British design expert Michael Thomson of Design Connect (London). Michael is an independent and international strategist, consultant, facilitator and advisor in design and creative industries. He has been named by the UK’s journal, ‘Design Week’ as one of the UK’s top fifty most influential people in design.
The Days of International Education 2010
International Education Fair “The Days of International Education 2010” will take place on 15th-16th of October at the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija (Elizabetes 55) , in Riga.
This annual Fair is a free access public event allowing visitors to meet more than 30 fair’s participants from UK and other countries and to get to know about a diverse range of courses with opportunities for personal and professional development and achievement.
There will be presented international language schools, private secondary schools; colleges; universities; executive centres; summer camps as well as universities from the UK and other countries.
The fair is organised by the “Baltic Council for International Education quot; in cooperation with one of the leading Educational Agencies in the Baltic States - „Meridian Group”.
